We didn’t kneed that!

You never know what’s around the corner and around the corner for us was a knee injury for Linda. Cycling along on the flat, on a lovely day in beautiful countryside in hardly any wind Linda suddenly yelled stop as her knee twanged! We stopped and put ice on it from our cool box, Linda took some ibuprofen and painkillers but she was unable to cycle with that leg afterwards. Fortunately we were quite near a hotel and limped on for a nights recovery in another flea pit hotel! Some of the hotels here are simply dreadful! Climate change my arse! It’s impossible to cycle in this rain – it’s just too heavy so we had to hole up for a day at a hotel waiting for it to pass in...

Black Biker Week, Plus Tax.

Well, Mrytle Beach is the party high rise capital of this part of the coast and despite countless people telling us it was awful we actually really enjoyed a couple of nights here in a seafront hotel. There’s so many hotels that you can get a bargain ocean front room for the same as a Campsite and as we’ve given up camping for the time being due to the humidity at night it was a no brainer. We usually look for our hotels online with apps like Booking.com. They give you a handy map where you can see the location of all the hotels at once, the ratings they get from customers and...
